My Experience: How I Got PokePark Kanto Tickets

I tried to purchase tickets through first-come sales, which open 2 months in advance at 6:00 PM (JST).

What happened

  • I accessed the ticket page at 5:55 PM
  • The waiting screen showed “12 minutes”
  • I used both smartphone and PC at the same time

On smartphone

  • Wait time: 12 minutes
  • When the page loaded, it suddenly redirected back to the homepage
  • After retrying, the wait time increased to 8 minutes again

By the time I entered the purchase page:

  • Elite Trainer Pass was already sold out
  • Only Trainer Pass was available

On PC

  • Wait time: 12 minutes
  • After waiting, I entered the purchase page smoothly

At around 6:07 PM, I checked weekday tickets 2 months later:

  • Both Elite Trainer Pass and Trainer Pass were still available

I quickly:

  • Selected 2 Trainer Pass tickets
  • Chose a time slot for the Pokémon Forest
  • Entered my payment details

Why Are PokePark Kanto Tickets So Hard to Get?

There are a few key reasons:

Limited capacity

The park controls the number of visitors per day, especially for the Pokémon Forest area.

High demand

It’s the first permanent Pokémon park, attracting fans from all over the world.

Ticket system complexity

Tickets are sold through:

  • Lottery system
  • First-come, first-served

Both methods are highly competitive.
